Why handmade soap?

We use a method called cold process, which means we measure out oils and butters, melt them down, add sodium hydroxide, and literally turn the oils into soap!

What makes a handmade soap better than a commercially produced store-bought soap?Did you know: According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, "some of these detergent products are actually marketed as "soap" but are not true soap in the common and legal definition of the word they are cleansing surfactants typically synthetic. The soaps are made with synthetic ingredients, rather than natural ingredients. These synthetic ingredients coupled with a lack of rich moisturizing cleansers can account for skin irritation, dryness, and even rashing.

True homemade soap retains all the natural glycerin which is produced when fats (natural oils) and sodium hydroxide (lye) are mixed together in precise ratios and temperatures.

Glycerin is a natural moisturizer and cleanser that increases lather and produces a milder soap for the skin.

In a lot of commercial soaps, the valuable glycerin is extracted and sold. It is replaced with cheaper synthetic alternatives which can be a lot harsher and irritating to the skin.

**** Please Note ****
I make small batches of soap so no two bars are the same.
Due to the handmade nature of our products, color, design and shape may vary slightly. No two soap batches are ever the same.
To extend the life of your soap, use a draining soap dish and keep it away from direct streams of water.
Always remember to keep soap out of your eyes and mouth. If soap comes in contact with your eyes it will sting until all of the soap is rinsed out.
